Montgomery, Al. (WSFA) -- The Air Force Reserve celebrated its Diamond Anniversary this weekend while honoring a country music legend.

The 908th Airlift Wing payed homage to Hank Williams Sr. during its 60th anniversary Saturday.

In honor of the legendary singer it changed the unit's C-130 cargo plane's radio call sign to "Hank".

Williams' daughter, Jett, who was dressed in a white suit and white cowboy hat was on hand for the event.

"It feels absolutely awesome," she said, "...I'm very honored to be here at Maxwell Air Force Base and to have taken the maiden ride on the Hank Zero One, and it's absolutely beautiful!"

After the flight, Ms. Williams provided entertainment for the soldiers.
