Montgomery, Al. (WSFA) -- It's a home improvement super center that's stuck in the middle of a heated debate between the city of Montgomery and its neighbor to the south, Pike Road.
Wednesday, Circuit Judge William Shashy ruled that the Home Depot on Chantilly Parkway is in Montgomery County - not Pike Road.
The two sides have been fighting for some time over the retail outlet, which could bring thousands of dollars in sales tax revenue to the city that it falls into.
The controversy started when the county commission deeded Old Ryan Road to Pike Road so it could annex the store.
