Prattville's Mayor Goes to Washington, DC for Tornado Help

Prattville Mayor Jim Byard and other city leaders went to Washington on Wednesday to meet with Alabama Senators Richard Shelby and Jeff Sessions about February's tornado.

The city wants federal help in paying tornado damage. That bill could be as high as 1 point 7 million dollars.

The mayor will be back in Prattville on Thursday, and he plans a news conference to announce a local business' plans to help some storm victims. WSFA 12 News will have coverage.
