Birmingham Man Mails Marijuana to Himself

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A Jefferson County man was charged with trafficking marijuana after authorities said he flew to California several times and mailed the illegal drug to his residence in Graysville.

Deputies assigned to the Sheriff's Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant Wednesday and arrested 24-year-old Letelly Charles Holifield.

Authorities seized 11 pounds of marijuana, a shotgun, a vehicle, $5,700 in cash and assorted paraphernalia.

Holifield was placed in the Jefferson County Jail under a $300,000 bond.
