Virginia Under State of Emergency After Severe Storms

Governor Timothy Kaine has declared a state of emergency for the damaged areas of southeastern Virginia.

Authorities say at least one person is dead and 200 people were injured as severe storms cut through central and southeastern Virginia. State officials say three apparent tornadoes hit the state Monday afternoon.
