The Montgomery City-County Public Library now has free wireless Internet access at the E. L. Lowder Regional Library, 2590 Bell Road. Patrons with wireless-enabled laptop computers can access the Internet from anywhere in the building and from the parking lot.
"I'm excited to have the wireless Internet access at Lowder. We are currently serving our patrons with eleven computers and there is always a waiting list for using them. Patrons with wireless enabled laptops will now be able to have access to our databases and Internet within our building as well as outside," said Barbara Sawyer, Branch Head at E. L. Lowder Library.
The city's IT department is working to get wireless access in all ten of Montgomery's public library facilities. Coliseum Boulevard and Rosa Park Branches are due to get them this week.
