Ten red light cameras are officially up and running at seven different intersections across the capital city. During a 30 day trial period...the city issued close to 1700 Warnings. Now, if a driver speeds through a red light they'll get a ticket in their mailbox. Capt. John McCall of the Montgomery Police Department says, "we want to see drivers habits change we want to see when the light turns red people start slowing down and they stop." Your first two red light tickets will cost fifty dollars each, after that the fine goes up to 100 dollars. The city is also planning to add more.
