Victims Identified in Double Fatal Chilton County Crash

Clanton, Al. (WSFA) -- Alabama state troopers are releasing the names of two people killed in a late Sunday night automobile collision on Interstate 65 near Clanton.

Troopers tell WSFA 12 News the victims are 68-year old R.L. Webb of Clanton and 17-year old David Caleb Andrew House of Vance.

Another victim, who's identity and condition are unknow, was airlifted to a local hospital.

Webb, whom officials say was not wearing a seatbelt, was driving a 2005 Cadillac CTS.

House, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo, was reportedly wearing a seatbelt.

According to a prelimenary investigation, State troopers believe both cars were traveling southbound when they made contact with each other.

Both vehicles then crossed the median and both northbound lanes  before coming to rest in a ditch.

Two other vehicle struck debris in the road, but injuries were not reported.

The accident remains under investigation.
