Maxwell Air Force Reservists Head to Asia

Montgomery, Al. (WSFA) -- Approximately twenty-five members of Montgomery's 908th Airlift Wing left Maxwell Air Force Base Monday heading for Soutwest Asia.

Once there, the A.W. will support Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The airmen, including aerial port specialists and medical practitioners, are heading over seas a week behind another group of reservists from Montgomery.

Last week, a 60 unit group and several cargo planes left from Germany in support of Operation Joint Enterprise. Their mission is scheduled to last three weeks.

The 908th was activated previously in support of Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom for two years during 2003-2005.
