Carriage Hills Neighborhood Cleaning Up After Storm

The Carriage Hills neighborhood off of the East South Boulevard in Montgomery took a particularly hard hit during Thursday night's storm.

The storm was a surprise to most residents, and they were left to clean up the aftermath on Friday.

Homeowners had a busy day picking up limbs, cutting up fallen trees and repairing home damage.

One man even had an uprooted tree fall onto his car.

Most of the residents lost power, and one man said the power was out at his home for at least five hours.

Over 20,000 people in Montgomery lost power due to the storm, but all was restored by Friday evening.

Most of the people interviewed by WSFA 12 News did have insurance, which will make the clean up process and rebuilding a bit easier.
