South Alabama Soldier Killed in Motorcycle Accident

OZARK, Ala. (AP) - The Army said a 23-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Rucker was killed in a motorcycle accident in Ozark. According to Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt, the crash occurred early today. He said he was called to the scene at about 12:15 a.m. The Fort Rucker public affairs office said a preliminary report indicated the soldier struck a curb and telephone pole on Logan Road. The man's name was withheld until next of kin is notified. Hilboldt said speed also was a factor in the crash. Ozark Police said the accident is under investigation.
