Two new centers were stood up Monday at Maxwell Air Force Base.
The LeMay Center will be responsible for research and development for different Air Force Divisions. The Air Force Institute will perform independent research and publish professional studies on issues to America's national security.
Officials say the two new centers should make Maxwell even more viable to the Air Force and increase its influence in the areas of aerospace and cyberspace.
