Montgomery, Al. (WSFA) -- Strong words at Tuesday night's Montgomery City Council meeting.
Council Glenn Pruitt told the owner of Cloverland Gardens Apartments they've had time to clean up and get the buildings up to code.
"If this had been on another side of town, you would have been gone a long time ago," said Pruitt.
The city ordered crews to demolish the complex after months of deadlines for owners KAD Alliance.
The owners appealed Tuesday night, but the city council upheld the order.
The owners say the city isn't giving them a fair chance, but council members say they've had more than enough time to make repairs.
