Montgomery, Al. (WSFA) -- Montgomery police tell WSFA 12 News that an officer was injured in an accident Monday night.
The officer, who has not been identified, was responding to help another officer in an attempted copper theft around 10:30pm when the accident occured
The officer lost control of his patrol car en route to the scene, hitting a utility poll near the intersection of Coliseum Blvd. and Congressman Dickinson Drive.
The officer was treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, police arrested 35-year old Bruce Davis, who they say was trying to steal copper from an air conditioning unit at a nearby business.
Davis is charged with criminal mischief.
Burned remains found on the mother’s farm were identified as those of her 16-year-old daughter, who she gave up for adoption when she was a baby.
