First on WSFA 12 News: Montgomery County Appraiser's Office Raided

What's going on at the Montgomery County Appraiser's Office?

Details are sketchy at this point, but WSFA 12 News has learned the office was raided on Wednesday.

WSFA 12 News  was first to report this story Thursday night at 6pm. 

We've learned sheriff's deputies took files and at least one computer from appraiser Tommie Miller's office.

District Attorney Ellen Brooks will only say she cannot confirm or deny a pending investigation of the office.

Tommie Miller isn't talking either.

He did tell WSFA 12 News his withdrawal from the Revenue Commissioner's race last month has nothing to do with anything happening now.

Miller says he withdrew because he can't afford to lose $50,000 in salary, which he would lose if he had to take a mandatory leave of absence to campaign for the office.
