At first glance, the Beauregard 12-and-under All-Star team looks like your typical team. But if you look closer, you'll see a difference.
Aleah Payne started playing baseball when she was three. Now she's the team's star second baseman and pitcher - and this week, she hit a game-winning homerun to help Beauregard advance in the playoffs.
Paul Rogers, Aleah's coach, says, "She's the best girl player I've ever seen. She can play the infield, pitch and play anywhere you want her to. She really hustles a lot. My youngest son looks up to her."
Aleah says, "I just like baseball better, because it's more aggressive than softball. Hitting that homerun was awesome. I didn't expect it."
