University of Alabama Raises Tuition

The cost of a college education at the University of Alabama is getting more expensive. On Friday, Alabama trustees approved double-digit increases in tuition. UAB will go up a little less than 11%, the main campus in Tuscaloosa increases 12% and the Huntsville campus tops the list at 14%.  University officials cite an 11% reduction in state funds which meant the three campuses needed to make up $98 million dollars in budget cuts.
