Members of the 908th Return Home

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- It was a celebration seven months in the making.

Friends and families waited anxiously Saturday at the Montgomery Airport for members of the 908th Air Lift Wing on their way home from the Middle East.

It was a heartfelt homecoming for the four members of the 908th Security Forces Squadron

These reservists provided base security as well as security for C-130s landing and unloading.

For some of the 908th this was the second time they had deployed, but now that they are back home, they say they're looking forward to spending time with the family.

"I'm just glad we're home and there's still a lot more over there and when we get them home we'll be happy," said MSgt. Brad Counce.

"This is my second time over there and it just takes a while to get used to getting back and it's good to see all these folks here it's nice and I'm just ready to go sit down with my wife for a while," said SMSgt. Owen Duke.

In all the 908th have around 75 to 100 people on deployment.

The rest of the 908th is set to return in early August.
