Decision 2008: Democratic District 2 Candidate Launches TV Ad

Montgomery, AL (WSFA)-- Just two days after Jay Love won the Republican nomination for Alabama's District 2 Congressional seat, his Democratic opponent launched the first of what will likely be a number of television advertisments.

Bobby Bright is now running the commercial on all Dothan TV stations. In Bright's ad, he vows to bring change to the 2nd District, which stretches from north of Montgomery down to Dothan in the Wiregrass region.

The ad also talks about Bright's Dale County roots, and how he worked his way though law school.

Montgomery's mayor enters the general election with a significant cash advantage, around $200,000 compared to Jay Love's war chest of less than half that amount.

Love spent nearly a million dollars just to secure the Republican nomination.

At this point, Love's campaign hasn't started running any new ads.
