New Evidence of Fraud in Perry County Released

Montgomery, AL (WSFA) -- The ongoing voter fraud investigation in Perry County continues casting more doubt on the municipal elections in Marion.  On Thursday, Secretary of State Beth Chapman released figures showing Marion had a 59% voter turnout rate with 29% of those votes cast by absentee ballots, which Chapman says is above normal.

On Wednesday, Chapman confirmed a report that voters were offered $40 and a crack cocaine rock for their ballot. She's working with the Attorney General on the investigation.
