Longtime Butler County Judge Dies

Butler County is remembering a long time judge.  WSFA 12 News learned Thursday that Judge Arthur Gamble, Junior died.  Judge Gamble died Thursday morning at his Greenville home.  Gamble reportedly died from natural causes.

Back in 1969, Governor Albert Brewer appointed Gamble to the Second Judicial Circuit.  He retired in 1992 after 23 years on the bench.

Gamble is survived by his wife and daughter. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at 5:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Greenville.  In lieu of flowers, family members ask gifts be sent to the Butler County Children's Advocacy Center.
