AUBURN, AL - An Auburn family's home goes up in flames and smoke, and investigators believe mother nature is to blame.

Our East Alabama News partner, WTVM, reports investigators believe lightning may have started the blaze.

The home is located off Wire and Kirkland Roads in the Tamplin Farms Subdivision.

The Auburn Opelika News is reporting the home belongs to Auburn University Track and Field Coach, Ralph Spry.

We've also heard reports of a house in Randolph County that was destroyed after being struck by lightning.
