Alabama Department of Corrections Graduates New Officers

The Alabama Department of Corrections continues to fill empty slots in state prisons.

On Thursday, 84 trainees graduated from basic training at the D.O.C. academy in Selma. 109 candidates started in the class. 25 washed out. So far, this year, 182 officers have graduated from the academy, which helps the department implement its 2006 action plan to recruit and retain officers in the system.
