Four Red Cross volunteers leave for Texas

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Four Montgomery area Red Cross volunteers are on their way to Texas Friday to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Dolly.

The volunteers had planned to leave Thursday, but were unable to because of flight cancellations.

President Bush has declared 15 counties a disaster area in south Texas.

The National Weather Service says the remnants of the storm could still dump a few inches of rain in some areas.

The volunteers, Roger Tinsley of Prattville and Lori Walker, Niki Davidson, and Martha Poole Simmons all of Montgomery will go to Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas for assigments.
