Man Hit By Train in Chilton County

Jemison, AL (WSFA) -- An unidentified 31-year-old man was hit by a train near Jemison Sunday morning. It was not immediately clear why he was on the tracks.

Authorities found the victim's body about two miles north of a railroad crossing on County Road 25. It's believed the man is from the Shelby area, however his identity was not immediately released.

An investigation by local authorities and CSX railroad is underway.
