A Toledo, Ohio minister is suing a local hospital and a group of security guards he claims attacked him while he was visiting the facility more than a year ago.

The Reverend Alford Poisson claims at least five guards at St. Vincent's Hospital unjustly assaulted him in front of several witnesses, including the ministers then six-year-old grandson.

According to the suit, guards were "outraged" after the pastor remarked they did not have a sense of humor.

Poisson claims during the July 21, 2007 incident, he was sworn at, escorted out of the hospital and then kicked and shocked with a stun gun.

The incident was recorded by the hospital's security cameras.

The hospital filed assault charges against poisson after the confrontation, but prosecutors through out the case.

The head of security at St. Vincent's responded to the suit by saying there are two sides to every story and when a stun gun is used, it is generally in self-defense.
