Dale County High School coach killed in accident

OZARK, AL (WSFA) - One person is dead and three other people were injured after a two car collision in Ozark Tuesday.

Police tell WSFA 12 News the accident happened just before 2pm at the intersection of Camilla Drive and Highway 231.

Officials says it appears that the driver of a pickup truck failed to yield at the right away and slammed into a 2005 GMC truck. The GMC truck flipped several times.

Police say two of the five passengers were ejected, and a total of four were taken to area hospital.

Ozark Police Chief  Tony Spivey confirms the victim killed in the accident is Dale County High School head football coach Phillip Horne.

Another passenger is listed in serious condition.
