Heavy rains and strong winds continued along the Texas Gulf Coast Tuesday afternoon following the landfall of Tropical Storm Edouard.
While the storm did not form into a hurricane, many along the coast took no chances and left the area.
Edouard caused minor flooding and damage to businesses and mobile homes in Texas and nearby Cameron Parrish, Louisiana.
Some forecasters had predicted Edouard would reach hurricane strength before making landfall.
That didn't happen, and folks who decided to ride out the storm are relieved.
The storm tracked north of its projected path and came crashing ashore hours earlier than expected, catching some off guard.
Fortunately, for most in the storm's path, there will be very little to clean up.
