MONTGOMERY, Al (WSFA) -- Big news today for drivers along Interstate 65. Workers with the Alabama Department of Transportation have cleared another hurdle on I-65 South. Earlier this morning, the southbound ramps at Fairview and Edgemont Avenues and the Southern Boulevard were reopened.
Traffic will now shift into the new lanes that have been closed since late July. The next phase of the "Progress 65" project will be to shift crews onto the median of the interstate to finish work there.
As you head to work, don't forget to be mindful of the construction crews and the 45 mile-per-hour speed limit.
