WLWI Announces New DJ

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery's most popular country music station has a brand new disk jockey.

Jim Hunter is taking the reigns after WLWI's long-time DJ Don Day retired last month.

Hunter is joining Andi Scott on the WLWI Morning Show.

Hunter is a Nashville native and has spent the last 23 years in radio.

"For me it is a challenge," Hunter says, "because its' big shoes to fill. This is the continuation of a legenday radio station. In no way am I trying to fill his [Don Day's] shoes.

Hunter is a single father of 2 college-aged kids, and he says you can expect a lot of laughter on the show.
