A Good Year For Crops

Montgomery, AL (WSFA)- After two years of devastating drought conditions, things are looking up for Alabama farmers.

The Alabama Farmers Federation says farmers are expecting an average yield of corn, cotton, peanuts and soybean crops.

They say this is good news for the farmers and the consumers because the last two years have been far below average.

ALFA reports many farmers are receiving more money for their crops this year due to market conditions. But that the cost of fuel is affecting the profitablity.
