MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Detectives are releasing the name of a suspect connected with Tuesday's murder near downtown Montgomery.

The man is identified as 25-year-old David Burns III.

Burns is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Meanwhile, authorities have still not released the name of the victim, shot in the head and left for dead in the yard of a North Pennsylvania residence.

Officers arrived on the scene around 2:40pm to find a 23-year-old man lying on the ground.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Some neighbors were home at the time and heard the gunshots, including Margie Byrd.

It was in Ms. Byrd's yard that the victim died. "He was laying here," Byrd said pointing to a group of well manicured trees in front of her home. She said she didn't think he was alive but said officers told her he did have a pulse.

Investigators say they believe the motive was drug-related.
