Trooper Testifies In Robert Wills Murder Trial

Houston County, AL (WSFA)- A state medical examiner now says the injuries that a 15-year-old Wicksburg girl suffered in a crash, would have left her paralyzed had she survived.

Fifteen year old Whitney Leigh Lake died during a high-speed chase with Houston County Sheriff's Deputies.

Lake was a passenger in a truck driven by 40-year-old Robert Wills on January 26th, when it crashed on Judge Logue Road near Dothan.

Jurors watched a video of the chase ,Wednesday, made by a sheriff's patrol car camera.  Jurors were also taken to Albert Road where they got out and walked around the scene.

Today they heard testimony from the state trooper who chased Wills down.

Wills is charged with murder and is being held in the Houston County Jail on a 500 thousand dollar bond.
