Governor Visits Hurricane Gustav Evacuees

Montgomery, AL (WSFA) - Since they do not have power at home, thousands of Gulf Coast residents are still hunkered down in Alabama waiting for the all clear.

On Tuesday, Governor Riley visited with evacuees and shelter workers at Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery. The church opened its doors Saturday and has been non-stop since that time. The Red Cross has 5 shelters in Montgomery, but we are told only Vaughn Park Church of Christ is still accepting new evacuees.
