MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Bob Riley has unveiled a new vehicle tag from members of military Reserve in Alabama.
The colorful tag features the American flag and an eagle. It will be made available to all active reservists in Alabama. The tag was designed by the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office for Aviation.
Riley told representatives from all services at a Capitol ceremony Friday that reservists have paid an important role in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Riley also signed a proclamation thanking employers for supporting the National Guard and Reserve and for protecting the jobs of those called to active duty.
