TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama learned a few different lessons in its three games before opening Southeastern Conference play. The Crimson Tide had an attention-getting rout, a survival game and a mismatch that turned out as expected.
The latter was Saturday night's mostly expected 41-7 blowout of Western Kentucky. Coach Nick Saban said everything the Tide has done to this point is to get ready for SEC play.
Alabama opens league play at Arkansas. Then comes a trip to third-ranked Georgia. Saban said if the players didn't learn valuable lessons in the first three games it will show up in upcoming games.
