Interstate 85 Interchange reopens after diesel fuel spill

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Officials have reopened all lanes of I-85 and the interchange after cleaning a large fuel spill.

Lanes reopened around 5:30pm Wednesday and traffic began moving again after coming to a near halt for nearly three hours.

Workers closed the I-85 Interchange onto Day Street and the Day Street ramp onto I-65 North around 2pm after a truck spilled diesel fuel all down the ramp.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
