MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) - Two suspects charged with the August 2007 murder of a Millbrook man as he left a Wal-Mart store have entered their pleas.

An Elmore County Grand Jury indicted both RonDarrell Terrell Williams, 29, and Calvin McMillan, 19, on two counts of Capital Murder back in July.

Now, Elmore County District Attorney Randall Houston's office says both men have pleaded not guilty to murdering 23-year-old James Bryan Martin.

Investigators say the two men stalked Martin through the Millbrook Wal-Mart and then shot him multiple times in the parking lot before stealing his pickup truck.

Martin died on the scene. Police cruisers spotted his red Ford F-150 truck the next day on the Eastern Boulevard and initiated a high speed chase.

The chase ended at an apartment complex a short time later where the suspect escaped.

Police eventually arrested both Williams and McMillan.

Prosecutors told WSFA 12 News in August they will pursue the death penalty against McMillan, whom they believe to be the triggerman.
