KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police are searching in Tennessee for a former Alabama high school homecoming queen who has been missing since she disappeared from a motel during a business trip almost a week ago.
Authorities investigating the whereabouts of 21-year-old Jennifer Hampton used search dogs to look through an overgrown area of Knoxville on Thursday.
A spokesman said police got phone calls about strange activity in the area, and they also received information from interviews that led to the search.
Nothing has been found. Hampton was crowned homecoming queen of Waterloo High in the northwest Alabama town of Waterloo, and she most recently lived in Florence, Ala.
She was in Knoxville with three co-workers helping train employees at a new restaurant.
