Who's No. 2? Bama's Saban downplays early ranking

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Who was ranked in Alabama's spot in college football last September 29?

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban posed the question to reporters Monday morning trying to downplay his team's impressive new ranking.

The Crimson Tide vaulted to the No. 2 spot behind Oklahoma with a one-sided win at Georgia.

Saban insisted he didn't even know where Alabama was ranked in Sunday's poll.

He said his team has learned how to deal with adversity in recent seasons.

Now they can learn how to handle success.

He said receiver Mike McCoy wouldn't practice Monday and his status is questionable for Saturday's Kentucky game.

Running back Mark Ingram was not expected to miss practice time with a bruised knee.
