Job Readiness Seminar

Local disabled students got some good advice and a little help in their search for a job. More than 200 seniors participated in a Job Readiness Seminar at Heritage Baptist Church in Montgomery.

Local employers from the Renaissance, Publix and Alabama Industrial Development Training, answered questions and gave advice. Couselors also helped students fill out an applications learn to interview, and focus on the persons interests and abilities.

Most candidates in the program have a job within a year of the seminar and maintain their job for more than a year.

The event is part of October's National Disability Employment Month.
