Montgomery Family Makes Donation; Expands Rosa Parks Museum

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -- A family is helping to tell the story of the Montgomery bus boycott by donating a piece of civil rights history.

On Saturday morning the family of a late Montgomery County Deputy sheriff, Captain Frank Kennedy, donated two shadow boxes to the Troy University Rosa Parks Museum that contain the motorcycle jacket, badge, desk name plate and life magazine photos of him.

Capt. Frank Kennedy was a motorcycle patrol officer during the bus boycott in and patrolled the pickup and drop-off points that were used by the "car TROY UNIVERSITYpoolers."

The Rosa Parks Museum is located on the Troy University-Montgomery campus.
