Evergreen mayor wins re-election by two votes

EVERGREEN, AL (WSFA) - Its been up and down for the two candidates vying for the mayor's seat in Evergreen and Tuesday the winner was certified and declared.

Mayor Larry Fluker won another term in office by just two votes.

Fluker garnered 1028 votes to challenger Pete Wolf's 1026.

The decision was made at Tuesday's Evergreen City Council meeting where ten provisional ballots were counted.

Last week, after the run-off election, Wolf was ahead of Fluker by two votes.

Any qualified voter now has 48 hours to ask for a recount.
