Numbers announced on 2008 Kids Count data book

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The new Kids Count data book was released Thursday morning. It breaks down everything from children in poverty, to children in crime to low birth weight.

New for 2008 the book tracks: juvenile detention rates, graduation rates sactioned by the U.S Department of Education's No Child Left Behind program, and poverty numbers by race.
