AG pushing for execution dates on four inmates

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Attorney General Troy King has renewed his request for the Alabama Supreme Court to set an execution date for Willie McNair and also requested execution dates for three other inmates.

King said Wednesday he renewed his request for McNair because the high court hasn't acted on his first request filed April 17.

McNair was convicted for the 1990 murder of Ella Foy Riley in Henry County, King also sought execution dates Wednesday for James Callahan, Phillip Hallford and Danny Joe Bradley.

Callahan was convicted for the 1982 murder of Rebecca Suzanne Howell in Jacksonville; Hallford was convicted for the 1986 murder of Charles Eddie Shannon in Dale County; and Bradley received a death sentence for the 1983 murder of Rhonda Hardin in Piedmont.
