TUSKEGEE, AL (WSFA) - A 44-year-old woman is now in custody, a suspect in the July murder of a retired Macon County school teacher.
Brenda Marshal of 1112 House of Prayer Place was arrested by Tuskegee police officers and memebers of the Alabama Bureau of Investigation Monday afternoon.
Marshal is accused of murdering 79-year-old Mary Hagins on July 18.
Hagins home, which was located up the street from Marshal's, was found burning on the night her body was discovered.
A motive has not been released.
The woman is charged with Capital Murder and is being held without bond at the Macon County Detention Center.
