Five years pass since Moore booted from court

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Five years have passed since Alabama's Ten Commandments judge, Roy Moore, was booted out of the chief justice's office.

And more than two years have passed since Moore lost the Republican primary for governor.

Moore said Friday he still gets lots of encouragement to return to politics.

He says he's enjoying writing legal briefs, working on a book and making speeches around the country.

But he says it's possible he might one day run for public office again.

Moore said he doubts that he would want to run for a judicial office because he's already been chief justice.

That's the highest post in Alabama's court system.
