50 turkeys, groceries given to Salvation Army

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - WSFA 12 News asked and you answered! Earlier this week we told you of the Salvation Army's need for food to feed the hungry this Thanksgiving.

We're glad to report that about 50 turkeys were donated and a wing out at Maxwell Air Force Base dropped off 170 bags of groceries.

The Salvation Army still needs a lot of the smaller canned food items and volunteers to help serve the meals.
