Salvation Army expects large crowds, needs your help

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Salvation Army says it plans to feed a Thanksgiving lunch to approximately 600 and 800 people.

And while the community has responded graciously to a call for help, particularly in terms of volunteers - all shifts are full to over flowing with folks who want to help - there are  many other ways to help.

There are a lot of turkeys in the donation bin, but not enought side dishes to complete the meal.

Roy Harris with the Salvation Army says they really need plasticware, cups and plates.

And "to go" boxes known are also in critical need so that hot meals can be delievered to the elderly and others who cannot come to the Bell St. location.
