A former presidential candidate paid a visit to the Wiregrass this weekend. Republican Mike Huckabee brought his national book tour down to Dothan. Fans met the former governor at Books-a-Million at Northside Mall on Saturday morning.

His book, "Do the Right Thing," tells his story and vision for politics. Huckabee says he made it a point to stop in Dothan.

"We're happy to be in Dothan. We have a lot of friends here. I thought it was the kind of place where you can see good people, and i thought this would be a book that would appeal to people in Dothan, Alabama," Huckabee said.

Huckabee's book tour hits 56 cities in two and a half weeks. In its first week, the book hit number five on the New York Times best sellers list.
